World of Warcraft server configuration-
1. Download the repack here for private and here for public and extract it somewhere on your computer
2. Find the MySQL Folder in the repack folder and run MySQL 4.1 server.exe.
3. Setting up MySQL:
* Select Typical Setup and click Next >
* Select Skip Sign-Up and then click Next >
* Click Install
* When that is done select Configure the MySQL Server now and click Finish
4. Configuring MySQL:
* Select Standard Configuration and click Next >
* Change the drop down box to say MySQL 4 and leave everything else how it is. Now click Next >
* Now you must choose a MySQL Password. YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD. When you have done this click Next >
* Now click Execute
* When ALL the boxes are checked, click Finish
5. Setting up Navicat:
* Open up the Navicat folder in the repack folder and open up setup. Now run navicat8_mysql_en.exe
* Configure your setup options and install it
* Now open up the Crack folder and copy the navicat.exe in there and replace the one in your Navicat folder with it.
* Now start up Navicat
* Now click the Connection tab up at the top.
6. Setting up your Connection:
* Make Connection Name whatever you want. I suggest Antrix
* Make Host name/IP address localhost
* Make Port 3306
* Make User name root
* Make Password what you chose in the setup of MySQL
7. Setting up your database:
* Open up you new connection, right click and select New Database... and name it Antrix
* Now right click on the Antrix database and select Execute Batch File...
* Now find the SQL Databases file in your repack and select antrix.sql
* Now it is creating you WHOLE database. This can take a while depending on your computer speed so eat lunch, go for a walk, play another game and come back in 20 minutes or so. It took me only about 10 minutes but I have a VERY fast computer. On my laptop it took me about 25 minutes.
* When there is a message saying: [Msg] Finished - 1181281 queries exectued successfully, click Close
8. Making an account:
* Open up your new Antrix database and select accounts
* Under login type your account name, under password type your password, under gm 3, banned 0 and flags 8. Now click the check mark at the bottom and close that window but leave Navicat open
9. Setting up Hamachi (Only for public servers):
* Open up the Hamachi folder in the repack and run HamachiSetup-1.0.2.2-en.exe
* Configure the install as you like and when it is done start up hamachi.exe
* Configure Hamachi and when you are done click the triangle button in the bottom right and select Create a new network
* Name the newtwork and give it a password (optional). When you are done click Create
* Open up realms.conf, logonserver.conf and antrix.conf (open with notepad) in the server files folder and replace anything that says hamachi IP with the numbers at the top of your hamachi window
* Save and close the files
* If you want a friend to join get them to change their realmlist.wtf to set realmlist <your hamachi IP here> and download Hamachi and join your network
10. Starting up your server:
* Open the start menu choose All Programs->MySQL->MySQL Server 4.1-> MySQL Command Line Client. I reccomend making a desktop shortcut for this
* Now type in your MySQL password (the one you shouldn't forget) and press enter
* In you Antrix folder go into Server Files and then run logonserver.exe and antrix.exe. They are done when antrix.exe says Process priority adjusted to high. If they just flash and go away try doing the following:
- Open Navicat
- Double click the Antrix connection
- Open the database named Mysql
- Mark all the items in the Mysql database and drag them into the Antrix database
* Make shure Navicat, MySQL Command Line Client, Hamachi (only for public servers), Antrix and Logon Server are still running
* Open up realmlist.wtf in your WoW folder and make shure it say set realmlist 127.0.0.1 or your Hamachi IP (only for public servers) and save that file. I suggest using notepad to open it
* If you made your MySQL pass something different then root open up logonserver.conf and antrix.conf and change any password that is root to your MySQL pass.
11. Open up WoW and login using the account you just made. It can take a few tries but if you're patient you will get in.
